Ride the Lightning

I was getting ready for bed and had just crawled under the covers when I saw a flash outside my window.

Naturally I raced out of bed, grabbed my camera gear and was out of the house (oh I put on some clothes first).

Sometimes storm chasing is really elaborate and well planned and sometimes not so much. This was the latter. I drove 15 minutes up the highway and onto a short dirt road, set up and started snapping. This is the result.
